Improv Comedy

I’ve been involved with the Pittsburgh improv comedy scene since the summer of 2022. Through that time, I have taken a number of courses and participated in many different shows. Most of the improv I have done is with the (now closed[since reopened]) Steel City Improv Theater.

Improv is a very important form of expression for me. It helps me connect with the community and share something of myself with the world. It resonates with me on a deep level: it is a way of working with people that I find deeply productive, motivating, and satisfying. Over the course of two years I progressed from my first improv class ever to teaching my own intro class.

Producing

I have been helping to produce the Smash-Up Improv Jam and BYOT, a weekly longform improv event in Pittsburgh, PA. Check out our instagram!.

Music

I like writing and playing (piano, guitar) music. Here’s a selection of some tracks I’ve worked on.

Writing

I’ve loved writing for as long as I remember. Lately this has manifested as writing sketch comedy, some samples of which can be found here, though I also enjoy writing poems and short stories.

Juggling

I’ve been an on-and-off member of the Carnegie Mellon Juggling Club, a.k.a. The Masters of Flying Objects, since around 2014. I enjoy numbers juggling and passing.
